Ex Capital Partners (ex-Tembusu) joins Avarta as strategic advisors

Avarta is delighted to welcome three leading lights in the cryptospace to our team. Former StarHub CTO, Mock Pak Lum, Harvard Business School alumni, Khoong Hock Yun and the successful angel investor Lau Wen Loong will be joining Avarta’s board as strategic advisors in March 2022. The executive team at Avarta is excited about the prospects of the company and firmly believe the insights, knowledge and experience of our strategic advisors will enable us to reach our goals.

Mock Pak Lum

Mock retired as CTO of StarHub, the second largest telco in Singapore, in August 2017.  He is currently the managing partner of the Tembusu Blockchain Technology Fund. Mock is an active investor in Blockchain and Crypto projects.

 Khoong Hock Yun

Mr Khoong Hock Yun, a Harvard Business School alumnus, is Managing Partner (Block Chain Fund 1 and 2)at Tembusu Partners, a Founding Board Member of the Klaytn Foundation), Senior Advisor with the Aedge Group Limited and Strategic Advisor to the Avarta Project. He has more than 30 years of experience in both public and private sector organisations. 

Mr Khoong is a Senior Member as well as member of the Engineering Accreditation Board (EAB) of the Institution of Engineers (Singapore), and a Fellow as well as member of the Executive Committee of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS).

Lau Wen Loong

Wen Loong is a full-time Venture Partner (Operations) at Qredo Limited where he leads their Ventures and Corporate Development efforts. He is also an advisor to Tembusu Partners for their blockchain and cryptocurrency investment strategy, having overseen their entire portfolio while he was an Associate Director (Investments) there. Under his watch, the Tembusu blockchain portfolio saw several fold returns overall and grew its activity in the blockchain sphere. Some of the most notable investments he led were Klaytn (started by the Kakao Group), Stacks (formerly Blockstack), Securitize, and BitDAO. Wen Loong is also an active angel investor and advisor to a select few blockchain and cryptocurrency projects.
